    Riddle me this... —Bob Parker
Here's a riddle for you: One of these Galaxy Explorers is from a set. The other I made using my own parts (Thanks Bricklink!). Which is the actual set? (URL) Bob (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Jude Beaudin
(...) The one on the right. Jude (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Duane Hess
(...) Ditto, for two reasons although one reason could just be a matter of camera perspective. -Duane (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Dave Johann
(...) personally, I think it's the one on the right due to the solid stud cones, but I could be wrong as I've never owed this set. -Dave (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Dave Schuler
(...) I would also suggest that the directional thrusters on the left model aren't canonical to the 928, while the 1x2plates with handles on the left model are closer to the original. Likewise the yellow antenna on the rear of the left model seems (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —David Koudys
(...) That's 'cause he has one of my fav. sets - the M-Tron 'Big Wheels' behind the two Galaxy Exploreres... It was the cones that did it for me, as well as the print of the planet on the front blue 1x3x6 slope. The planet is smaller on later prints (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Tony Hafner
(...) same instructions. I never understood why people would keep the parts of a given set separate from other parts. I guess I'm just not that kind of collecter- I'm far more interested in building unique stuff. And every time I look at this thing (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Duane Hess
(...) Personally, it doesn't matter to me. However, the question was posed, so I answered it to the best of my knowledge. I'm less interested in sets (with a few exceptions) and more interested in useable parts than I used to be. BTW I don't have (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Scott Lyttle
<snip!> (...) Take a look at the thread from back in December when Brad Justus was asking the Lugnet community about the Legends series, and what the next one might be. I think there was a lot of enthusiasm about releasing the Galaxy Explorer as a (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Tony Hafner
(...) How about including other series numbers as well- one pair of 918 and 924 stickers would get you really close to building either of those models from the same parts. The only additional parts I can think of offhand are: trans-yellow 4x6 plate (...) (22 years ago, 2-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Here's the answer (was: Riddle me this...) —Bob Parker
(...) Thanks for all the great guesses. And the answer is... May I have the envelope please...I said, give me the envelope - hey! Don't eat that! Arrrrrrgh! Yes, everyone is correct! It is the one on the right. I could have built the other one even (...) (22 years ago, 1-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: Riddle me this... —Mike Timm
(...) Now I HAVEN'T the others posts on this (yet) but I know which one is the 'non-set' version. The 'knock off' is on the left side of the image. The tip off? the cones on the front of the engines are solid on the older version of the part, hollow (...) (22 years ago, 4-Feb-02, to lugnet.space)
