Truth be told, the real world black version I am looking at right now has
what I think is an Aqua-shark logo! As far as LDraw goes, when I get really
smart about it I expect I can swap out the primitives that make up the
classic space logo for the ones that would make up three inverted triangles.
But, I have only been doing this since late last week and experimenting with
all of the software. When I am working all of this from the command line,
I'll know what's going on.
Plus, it is from the "Classic Space" contest, so I thought it wasn't so bad
to leave it be. Still, maybe I should mess with it in Photoshop. I happen
to have some vector versions of the BT1 logo to hand.
I highly recommend viewing the DAT file in LDView. I have some old Matrox
32 MB video card over here and it still looks great. I had it spinning
flips very erratically yesterday, but my girlfriend made me stop it because
she thought the little guy might get sick. As if...! This IS a BT1 guy,
right!?

P.S. Speaking of "Aqua-whatever," I had worked up a little version of it in
Bryce where the little fellow is preparing a water landing. I was
unsatisfied with it, so I trashed it -- but the possibilities are endless if
you let yourself run wild.

| (...) I really got a kick out of the "marketing" on your webpage. The model looks great -simple, classic, yet with a flair. I do wonder, though, shouldn't the black version have the inverted triangle logo of BT1? (Or is that simply not available in (...) (23 years ago, 7-Nov-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.space)
