  T3-Trike

I just bought the T3-Trike from the Life on Mars sets. It is a great set and I really like it but I have one question. Mine has yellow rubber bands while all of the advertisments show black ones. So is everyone getting yellow instead of black or am (...) (24 years ago, 11-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: A sobering day in the life of the Taranis (was Medium freighter)

(...) Thanks dude! (...) How about those beveled wall corners from castle sets? I think they're 3 X 3. You know, get four of them and it makes an octagonal cylinder which makes a pretty neat looking nozzle when placed sideways (like the nozzles on (...)   1593 building challenge (was: Re: 1593 box photos!)

(...) Hmm, hmmmm, hmmmmmmm... This actually shouldn't be too hard to verify. Has anyone ever done this before?-- Using instructions from 6880 and 6929, collect together a pile of pieces that are used to build each of those sets. Then, using that (...)   Re: Where's all that gravity coming from?

(...) Better would be to spin the docking ship-- spinning the coke can the other direction means changing the rotational speed of the whole station. It'd me much cheaper to spin the docking ship, then you don't have to do anything weird at all on (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Impressive Creation

Re: Where's all that gravity coming from?

(...) As an example, if your structure is spinning at 2 rpm, you have to go out to 225 mm from the spin axis to get 1 g. And you have to be standing with your head towards the spin axis (like a hamster in a wheel). I got thinking about what this (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: A sobering day in the life of the Taranis (was Medium freighter)

(...) I almost did that myself...had I actually dropped it on the floor (which is concrete where I was, and cluttered with stuff we're working on sorting through) it would have not been pleasant. I'd have pieces lost till the fateful and as yet (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: A sobering day in the life of the Taranis (was Medium freighter)

Sounded almost Klingon. (...) Heh heh! (...) Nah, (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: NASA Space Shuttle and crawler (preview)

(...) It's such a nice change to see someone build a space "MOC" that actually exists in real life! IMHO that's not so much the fault of AFOLs as it is the fault of humanity for not producing more things to build models of. I should've put <soapbox> (...)   Re: NASA Space Shuttle and crawler (preview)

(...) I tried a bunch of hinge concepts and ended up with this one: (URL) tail structure isn't that great, particularly if you want the black trim. But the hinge would work well and not leave huge gaps (although there are some). Note the rudder (...) (24 years ago, 10-Mar-01, to lugnet.space)
