Re: Sirens can be US or UK sirens as well!

(...) Actually, there is only one siren which plays both sounds as far as I can tell. You turn the knob on the top of the siren to change what sound is played. Thats how it is on all the sirens I have seen anyway. (17 years ago, 23-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

Sirens can be US or UK sirens as well!

Just my too sense: Some sirens will have a different wail. I have quite a few of them and some were obviously made for the UK (weeee-wah, weeee-wah) and some are made for the US (wee-ooo, wee-ooo, wee-ooo). Aaah, gotta love the technical jargon! :-) (...)   Re: Displaying my set collections at LEGO-palooza

Hello! That's a nice way to present your sets. Usually you just see them displayed in showcases or display-staircases or the like. That way the sets are hardly relating to each other. You however show a real Castle world. I like that. Bye Jojo (17 years ago, 22-Dec-07, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space)

Re: Space Corridors for the new Comand Center-Classic Space

(...) These are a great start at a moonbase. It looks like the hallways aren't quite long enough, though. They should be the exact size of a large baseplate, with 48 studs from one end to the other. These look like they're around 44 studs. -- Tony (...) (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: Displaying my set collections at LEGO-palooza

(...) I love your displays. I hope I can do something like that someday. I'm not so great at designing my own models, but I'm collecting a lot of sets. Thanks for sharing your displays. (17 years ago, 19-Dec-07, to lugnet.events, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, FTX)

Hello everbody! Today I want to present you something new from the micro workshop. Although it may be niether impressive nor accurate, I hope to make you smile a little bit.   Re: How to tell the difference between Light & Sound sirens?

(...) White ones can be for Space and Town; black for Town (2 URLs) A made a MP3 file with the sounds of the two sirens. (URL) (223ko) The two first sounds are Town, the two others for Space. Erik (17 years ago, 15-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Question about set 6959...

(URL) for whatever reasons transpired in my life, I just got two of thes sets. Built 'em--thinking they're kinda cool... But I have a problem understanding the functionality of the sliding platform.   How to tell the difference between Light & Sound sirens?

How can I tell if I have a town siren or a space siren? Are all the white ones space and the black ones town? Does anyone have a recording of either siren and the sounds it makes? (17 years ago, 10-Dec-07, to lugnet.town, lugnet.space)

Re: Space Corridors for the new Comand Center-Classic Space

(...) Joao, Looks good, but I'd try changing the white connectors to gray. I believe there's a general rule of three colors.. one main, one contrast, one compliment. Int this case, blue and gray contrast. I'm not sure that white would count as a (...) (17 years ago, 6-Dec-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Mars Mission

(...) True, that in the grand scheme of things, it probably really doesn't matter where these themes end up, it would seem to make sense that LoM and MM would both qualify as being included in the overall Space category...I mean if fricking (URL) (...)   Re: Mars Mission

(...) Good catch--forgot about those. I was just compiling a list of all the space sets I owned and saw that the Mars Mission ones weren't included under the 'Space' theme. No biggie. Dave K (17 years ago, 5-Dec-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Mars Mission

(...) The Life on Mars theme is also listed under System as opposed to the Space theme category. I assume that Mars Mission is the same way to be consistent with LoM. (17 years ago, 5-Dec-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Mars Mission

Is there a 'lugnetty' reason that the new Mars Mission sets aren't under the 'Space' theme? When I do a set reference search, the Mars Mission sets are listed under 'system' and not the sub theme of 'space' Just curious Dave K (17 years ago, 5-Dec-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Zombie Hunt

(...) Thanks Dave! Any fan of this diorama needs to take a look at Keith Goldman's (URL) On the Defense> and Adrian Drake's (URL) Meridiani Planum Nuclear Facility> (zombies on the moon!). I drew a good bit of inspiration from them. (17 years ago, 5-Dec-07, to lugnet.space, FTX)
