  Re: Pirate mecha

(...) Thanks Fradel! EVA = Extravehicular activity? I think I should have added some accessories, but I didn't really know what, and I didn't want to add realistic gunz. Chainsaw is a good idea. Magnetic boots anyone? Thanks again, JP. (19 years ago, 24-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Pirate mecha

That's a very good EVA look for a pirate mech. You've mentioned on CSF I believe, that you went for a realistic approach to the "Arr, send them to Davey Jones's locker" look. I think fusion cutters and buzzsaws/chainsaws would work well for hull (...) (19 years ago, 23-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  New Moc: Kestrel

Hello all, I have been very busy as of late. What with buying a house, moving in, and preparing for the arrival of our first child (she is due May 6, btw), I haven’t had much time for building. The pimp my Mech contest got me all up in arms to use (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space)

  Re: Pirate mecha

(...) Thanks Mark! I didn't know about Makoto Kobayashi (URL) before you mentioned him, no inspiration coming form there. Inspiration came more from (URL) kind of bot - which looks similar to your example anyway: strong arms, short legs - ape style (...)   Re: Pirate mecha

hah, nice one JP Something about your mech struck a chord with me, I couldn't figure out what it was. So, true to my style I start surfing my links, and found (URL) by Makoto Kobayashi. (thanks to Soren the anime junkie Roberts for turning me onto (...) (19 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Pirate mecha

Mechers, mechettes, spacers, spacette, I've just finished a small Pirate Mecha: (URL) Click on the pic = Brickshelf folder postmod. Keep your chickens home! JP. (19 years ago, 19-Apr-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  BAAL - Artillery Mech

(URL) This is my first mech build. Even though this is a small mech, it was a good learning experience and was definitely different than building spaceships. Any comments, criticism and suggestions on how to improve future builds are very (...) (19 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: Anime inspired container train for Soren Roberts containers

--snip-- (...) This looks like the storage facility on some flea-bitten planet in the middle of nowhere. I like it! Especially the dirty bricks. Tim (19 years ago, 18-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Anime inspired container train for Soren Roberts containers

(...) Here's my take on the Sortainers : (URL) Thanks Tim for the super instructions, class job on them. And thanks Soren for sharing this creation, it was a fun build with lots of neat ideas going on. I made a couple of mods to it, nominally (...)   WAMALUG Display at the National Air and Space Museum, April 15 2006

Hi all, This was the second year that WAMALUG participated in Explore the Universe Day at the National Air and Space Museum. Museum visitors got to see a nice variety of Space and space related MOCs, and also were able to build in a free build space (...)   Modlex Titane and Cyclops: more transformers

Hi, after the positive recations about my previous post, i made some more modlex transformers. I also went on vacation and took some parts of the old knights with me, this resulted in a collection of smaller transformers: the Modlex Cyclops. the (...)   Re: Space Lamborgini

It looks pretty cool, but the link doesn't work (yet?). Also, it's a neat, swooshable ship, but the shape doesn't say "Lamborghini" to me. When I think Lambo, I think massive, with lots of flat angular surfaces. And a GIANT rear wing. :-) (19 years ago, 17-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Can't we all just get along? (Take 2)

(...) Tony- This is an awesome MOC - I saw it in person at the NW TrainFest 2006 event last month, and it was fantastic! I love the gondola loaded of Spamcake - Looks like the anti-gravity bogie lost power on one side...yikes! I've always loved (...) (19 years ago, 13-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Can't we all just get along? (Take 2)

It's been a while since I posted (URL) my last train/space crossover>, so this is definitely overdue. This one doesn't actually run on rails, but I think it still fits the bill.   Re: 4888 Ocean Odyssey alternate MOCs

(...) That's too bad that they are being frustrated over competing. With anything in life, there's always going to be someone who has more of something, it's just a general hangup your going to have to get over. Isn't it supposed to be not what you (...)   Re: 4888 Ocean Odyssey alternate MOCs

(...) Yep, you're right the arms are just on a 1x1 clip, but still surprisingly sturdy (though probably not up to being stomped around like my nephew would play with it!)the only real problem is because of the black tubing, it pulls the gun arm off (...) (19 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.space)

Re: 4888 Ocean Odyssey alternate MOCs

(...) Nice work, and good call on alot of newer builders. I think its a convenient excuse to say that its impossible to build anything worthwhile with a small assortment of bricks. I grow tired of hearing people say that if they had a large (...) (19 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: 4888 Ocean Odyssey alternate MOCs

(...) Gorgeous! I love the wing-like shapes on the second model. The way they angle back and curve down at the same time is very sexy and surprising. On the first model, it looks like the right and left attachments are held on only by a 1x1 clip. If (...) (19 years ago, 11-Apr-06, to lugnet.space)
