Re: a perfect day for something new

(...) Dude! That's great! The long cylindrical shape is really unique, and you've made it work well. It truley looks like a space vessal, with the long spindly appendages and those nifty circular thingies on the back. And the references to Classic (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

a perfect day for something new

The planets alligned giving me the time and space to photograph some creations that have been sitting around. So without further ado... First up as an attempt at PCS. It's a deep space explorer launched from orbit and uses stars to slingshot around (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.announce.moc)

A new species in the neighborhood

I received a visitor this weekend from our neighboring planet, Venus. (URL) Her name is Mitzi, or at least that's what it sounded like to me. She is a delegate from her employer. They sought me out, hoping to negotiate a contract for newer ships. (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX) !

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Oh, I think maybe you misunderstood me. I like it better than those quarter domes for exactly the reason you state, its much easier to see inside. The 'holo-morphic' was in reference to (URL) this.> (...) Wouln't it be nice if those were the (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Sorry mate, did I steal another idea from the brain of Mr. Maddison? *hehe* Yeah, I wish I knew where that rotating airlock idea came from... Adrian (URL) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Umm, yeah, holo-morphic. That sounds good :) Honestly though, even if I had those big quarter domes, I'd still have built the pool's dome like this, as it's much easier to see inside and check out the details. The landing pad is, of course, (...) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Thanks! That craps player's in the process of losing a great deal of money, so there's reason for him to be a little stressed :) Adrian (URL) (22 years ago, 15-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Wow, a casino moonbase. Wish I'd have thought of that. ;-) For reals, this thing is sweet. I've been waiting for you to do formal pics so I could see it all. Great, *great* slot machines. Love the gaming tables too. The interior looks very (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  USS Enterprise

Here's my attempt at the USS Enterprise, NCC-1701: www.elevendayempire....m/lego.htm You have to scroll down a bit to get to it, past the AT-AT, and my version of the Farscape One module from "Farscape." Any suggestions on a way to get the (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc)

  Re: F-3 Wasp

Phil, another great F-series MOC. I'm really liking this line. The smooth studless designs are awesome. The size and scale really appeals to me. This is the type of thing I hope to see from Lego once the space line restarts in a few years. It (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) That is awesome. I really like how you made the "glass" dome. It must be that holo-morphic plating so it only looks like nothing is there. :-) The landing pad is very nice too. -Mike Petrucelli (URL) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

Thanks for the tour, Adrian. I didn't get a chance to see the interior at Brickfest. I like the Green goblins playing pool and the frightened craps player next to all the sandpeople. Excellent detailing. Pat Bunn (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: F-3 Wasp

(...) Thanks! I'm glad you like it. After all the razzing I got for not including landing gears on the Bat, I figured I'd have to with this one. ;) (URL) CerebrumInc.com> (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Thanks. Since this isn't a space ship I didn't have the opportunity to engreeble the outside too much without it being cluttered, so I went crazy with the interior details instead. The various casino games were a lot of fun to put together. (...) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) I might've considered using tiles, but I didn't have that many grey tiles laying about. And those that were I used between the layers. Thanks for the compliments Adrian (URL) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Woah. Cool module. Good job on the video games, pool tables and casino. I especially love what you did with all the decorated parts :) And anyone that owns that many of the 1x1 corner panels... :) (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Great interior detail, Adrian! I like the CS-styled landing pad too. I would have used tiles, but that's probably just me - it's handy to be able to connect 'figs to it. Really well done. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 14-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Gamble your money away at Rigel 7

(...) Yeah, there's nothing above the lounge except for the motor and battery box to make the sign work. That and it's slightly domed so that it looks cool. Pretend that all the life support and power generation equipment is up there. Now, how it's (...) (22 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
