Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Thank you, Richie for organising the meeting, otherwise not many people would have had the chance! (...) Yeah, I agree. Although I mainly just chose white because I had a lot of it :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Yeah, it's a compromise... the Lance has a better hangar bay configuration. (...) I expected to see you there... I think I even mistakenly called someone Allister once or twice. (...) Not for these, sadly - you see the result of much Photoshop (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: New MOC: Hover Limo with Police Escort

(...) Hah! You actually used sprues on this? That's hilarious. Anyways, I really like the use of chrome accents, especially around the bumper, with one exception. I think the pair of crossed swords is an interesting concept, but the aesthetics of it (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) I'll be making two micro-scale ships from the parts of this one, you know. (...) It's all about the hangars. The hangar design for the Lance is meant to be economical, with well-protected bays to launch fighters effectively. (...) I (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Yeah, there's definitely a time and a place for stickers. That UCS X-Wing sticker sheet is great for microscale - but I would definitely pick and choose what parts I'm sticking them on. White parts worked well because the clear part of the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) You know, I agree, it's what I'm not quite happy with. And well spotted, a variant of the Sulaco front is what I was aiming for. (...) Actually, I was just running out of inverse slopes! But yeah, I thought it would look good to have some (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Spy Prawn

(...) Allister, This is an excellent little design. I agree with Keith in that "You really captured the whole alien/aquatic aesthetic very well." I like the continuous nature of the vessel with the segmented body. At first I was not sure if it was (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Here, knock yourself out: (URL) But don't lose the Starfury... it's part of the experience! Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Mainly an aftereffect, but I knew that the alternating slopes would give a distinctive impression anyway. Glad you pointed it out. (...) This is my favourite picture too. An action pic, but you can see a lot of the ship too. (...) They don't (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) I can't believe how good these are..... Reminds me of a SciFi art book from my childhood called 'Mechanismo'. LEGO, get your act together and hire guys like Paul. Take care, Gary (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)
