Re: Moonbase Monorail standards (was: BRICKFEST MOONBASE)

(...) One thing I'll add - since a huge collection is not necessary, I won't plan on bringing lots of track, however, I may decide to bring along my bag of 8 stud track lengths since depending on just how large a track collection we have, they may (...)   Re: Moonbase Monorail standards (was: BRICKFEST MOONBASE)

(...) Oops, sorry about that, you're right. The point I think I was making though is that David Wegmuller's standard is actually more strict than really necessary. The reality is that most of the track we laid was in different positions. I agree (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space)

Re: Hasbro goes to the bricks!

(...) An excellent point. Looking at the MegaBloks military sets is just unpleasant. Not that they are necessarily bad in their own way, but the specialized pieces, particularily the ordinance/hardware look like non-construction parts tacked on. For (...) Oh, and another thing... (URL) Since when did Wheeljack become a Decepticon?> I've obviously been out of the loop. (URL) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Re: Hasbro goes to the bricks!

(...) One thing I really enjoy about LEGO maintaining "non-violent" production is military MOC creativity. With the introduction of "violent" sets, many are tempted to use "short-cut parts" for weapons. This part, for instance: (URL) I see a lot of (...)   Re: Back to the Moon?

(...) Yep. I hear they've got a modular "Moonbase" concept they're working on, too. James Wilson Dallas, TX Lugnet member #1783 (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Manta Airspeeder

(...) Be my guest in doing refinements to this craft as a Sea Monkeys vehicle. I didn't want to do too much detailing at the bottom since it's for non-military use. The only details that you'll see if you look closely enough are the two back flaps, (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.aquazone)

  Re: Manta Airspeeder

(...) Thanks for the compliments! It's doubly hard to get pictures of dark colored models specially the black ones. As you can see from the shadows, I've used three different light sources to blend and get the pictures at the correct angles where (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space)

  Re: BRICKFEST MOONBASE

(...) This has come up before. And here is the standard answer... again. If you want to make 6 wide corridors, fine. But, if you bring em to fest this year have adapters to fit everyone else's. (and those adapters cannot extend over the baseplate) (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.space, FTX)
