  Re: taking good photos

(...) I didn't think that sounded right, but I couldn't figure out why. This sounds an awful lot like how LCD laptop screens work, where they look fine if you set the screen size according to the actual physical pixelation of the screen, but if you (...)   Re: PCS Gets a move on....

(...) Well actually I meant that I thought the printed panels would look good if swapped _over_ onto the aft end of the ship where the plain ones currently are... to help the aft area look less plain. But then maybe you tried that too... whatever (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: My new capital ships online at brickshelf

(...) Wow, you have designed some great shapes for your ships. My favourite would have to be the colonisation frigate, it has the best arrangement of the white and gray elements. I really like the facilities detailed on top. The other ships are (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) I think you are confusing color depth with image area resolution. If the CCD chip has an area of X-by-Y pixels and you are at maximum optical zoom, then any form of digital zoom requires interpolating between adjacent real pixels. The color (...)   Re: PCS Gets a move on....

(...) Thanks. I appreciate the complients! And, ya it may be too greebled (except for aft), but since this is more of an "industrial" ship I stayed away from some of the PCS smooth on top/pipes on bottom routine and stuck em wherever they would fit. (...) (Licks chops) Mmmmm. Tasty little vessel. I agree with Gil, great SNOT! This MOC really blends form and function well. Beautiful! Take care, Soren (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Hello

Hey, Alex, welcome to Lugnet. You have some nice ideas there. I like the way many of things somehow relate to the Star Wars world. But my viewing has been impared by something thats probably not your fault. My computer has frozen twice when trying (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

Fantastic. I love the organic design. I would second trying to design a tail. It does fine without, but I think would add even more "life" to it. It's exciting to see a collaborative build. (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: CL-4000 Passenger Liner Shuttle

Very cool. You've done a good job of keeping this from being blocky, which can be pretty easy to do with industrial ships. The nice use of slopes and industrial-like parts really make this look good. I just love that cockpit idea more and more every (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: presenting the worlds worst MOC, an experience in TTR

Uggg, I hate thread-hacking. Just being part of the community will get you far more feedback then thread-hacking, which seems to be happening a lot recently. (Nothing against you, Zak. I've almost done it too. Just keep building and eventually you (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: My new capital ships online at brickshelf

I'm not too much of an expert on nano or micro scale, but the shapes of your ships are quite innovative....they remind me of the Terran Trade Authority books of the 80's....like giant sailing vessels of the stars. The cylinders are wonderful touches (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

So Proxima busts on out, eh? Veddy nice....the SNOTty sides have given great oppportunity for both a curvy profile and great colour options. Love to see more of the interior of the cockpit. 'Promixa...Buy It or Get Fra-zammed.' Cheers, -G (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Candiru

As said in chat Mark, this thing is a beaut.....you and Joel did a foine job. Collaborative builds are a total blast, for all the reasons you've mentioned in this thread.   Questions for Dan (was My wallpaper)

Dan, Is there anything behind the trans-orange besides gray bricks? and does the cockpit have a pilot seat of some kind? Thanks again, Mark M. (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: CL-4000 Passenger Liner Shuttle

This is a pretty sweet shuttle! i love the compactness of its shape, but most importantly its sleek-ness. it seems lego works really well in industrial looking space ships, but not so much in sleek ones. this creation really walks the fine line (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.space)
