  Spaceship art

Does anyone have drawings/paintings/pictures of Non-Standard (Babylon 5, BG, ST, SW, etc...) spaceships? I am scrathincg for ideas, and maybe I can model one after someones drawings. Any ideas are open. Must be Sub-Capital by GS standards or (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Hoverthing Contest Entry - T59 Sport Airspeeder

Hi, all. Here's my entry for the Hoverthing Contest. The T59 Sport Airspeeder. Small, fast, and potentially dangerous for a novice, this is not the hoverthing for the faint of heart. The T59 has a top speed of 450+ MPH and is a popular choice on the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: What Part is this ?

Cool. Thanks. I guess it didn't look right to me in MLCAD (too round compared to Austin's pics), but then I realized that L3P probably substituted some primitives and sure enough that's the right one once it's run through L3PAO and POV. Thanks guys (...) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.space)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) Not quite sure what you mean here. A ship could fly in space with similar flightpaths to how it can fly in an atmosphere. Nothing says that it can't. If you want to execute a smooth sweeping turn like in the atmosphere, you need only have (...) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Tribes 2 vehicles

Has anyone attempted to make any Tribes 2 vehicles (or minifigs or weapons)? I may attempt a Shrike Turbograv. You can see pictures of all their stuff here: (URL) or (URL) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

Re: has anyone made an Enterprise from the origonal TREK?

(...) I have one from TOS, of which I haven't taken any pix yet. I also have played around with 1701-A. I'll post soon. -Tom McD. when replying, the new Ford Spamcake.. more power, roomier, and best of all, side-impact airbags. (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) I don't see how this question is even debatable, because you're talking about fictional technologies, most of which disobey all current known laws of physics. You might be able to debate specific cases, but it's still extremely difficult to do (...) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

(...) Sure they can co-exist, if the creator of the show wishes them to. :) Now, if you want TV show/movie examples, try Macross/Robotech, Nadesico, and Gundam. But since it is all fantasy anyway, anything a creator deems possible, is, well, (...) (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

space/mecha combat theories... (was Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?)

In starfox, there is a level where you fly around in space and kill robot/mech things, I dunno if that's what you mean though. But I think (from a non-anime oriented perspective) that mecha could easily be pitted agains't spacecraft and have a (...)   Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

Wow, quite a few replies here! Let me try to explain my theory in a different way and you can tell me if you guys agree with me or not?   Does anyone have any good pics of those craft from wipeout?

I just wanted to ask because they seem like interesting things to make lego models out of. Does anyone have any good pics of them? I'm especally interested in the African and Pacific island vehicles. (24 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Gasaraki 1, any good?

Yes, B5 ships actually obey the laws of physics by accelerating and deccelerating. Unlike 'Trek. In ST the ships always act like atmospheric vehicles, namely in the manner that they don't have to deccelerate/reaccelerate to turn around.
