Re: Scout Can use 6 touch sensors?

(...) Why go though all that trouble if it's useless? I find that hard to believe... (...) Yes, I've made a resistor pad myself for the RCX. (URL) (26 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

Re: Scout Can use 6 touch sensors?

(...) The color coded sensors are used in CyberMaster. Code Pilot uses the normal sensor. (...) Yes, it is a resister, connected in parallel with the switch, so you can read the resistance value when the switch is not pressed. See (URL) for more (...)   Scout Can use 6 touch sensors?

Forgive me if I've missed this here before, I've recently acquired a Scout system and have been reading the SDK PDF and found the following: "The Scout has two external input ports to which touch sensors can be attached. The special colour-coded ID (...) (26 years ago, 17-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  Re: Scout Internals

(...) Believe it or not, the LEGO Mindstorms web site has a lot of great info about both the Scout and the RCX. Go to the Mindstorms site at (URL) and follow the links to the Scout SDK.   Re: Fiber-optic connection between Scout & MicroScout

(...) Hey, wow! It turns out that the thin portions of the FO cables are the same thickness (or virtually the same, for all practical purposes) as the inside components of LEGO TECHNIC Flex System cables! In other words, not only do they fit nicely (...) (26 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.scout, lugnet.robotics.microscout, lugnet.technic)

Fiber-optic connection between Scout & MicroScout

An observation... It is well-documented that the Scout can communicate with the Micro Scout using its red-light emmiter. The optic fibers transmit light quite well for this purpose with one drawback - only one end of the fiber has a connector. I've (...)   NQC 2.1 in beta test (Scout support, fast firmware)

NQC 2.1 b1 is available at (URL) two "big" features are fast firmware downloading (4x speed) and preliminary support for the Scout. Emphasis on "preliminary". It is enough to do some basic NQC stuff on the Scout, but most of the nifty Scout features (...) (26 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc, lugnet.robotics.scout)
