(...) nqc -SCOM2 You need to be careful about upper/lower case for options. I know its annoying, but there are a *lot* of options, so case is important. In the case of specifying the serial port, the option is immediately followed by the serial port (...) (25 years ago, 13-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

(...) "could not open serial port" generally means one of these things: 1) You told NQC to use a serial port that doesn't exist. Hi, do any of you think that you can program the scout in legOS? My NQC is not working it says "could not open serial port" and it aborts the download so legOS would mabe work. Alex (25 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

  ScoutTool unable to initialize Ghost
 
Why would opening ScoutTool.exe with Windows 95 display "Unable to initialize Ghost" with Scout turned ON and within 10 cm of IR Tower? Already followed procedures under "Init Ghost" in Help (ScoutTool.pdf). Thanks in advance for any help. (25 years ago, 9-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

Thanks I figured out how to use it! :) But I still have a problem. every single NQC program from any books or documentaion that i'm sure have been tested, dont work! it just gives me undefined variable messages.
