  Re: Slow response in RoboLab?

The system sound 1-sec delay explains some of my observation. The rest is explained, I think, byt the fact that my test program was also using data logging to record the timer values. (I did not include the data logging instructions in the sample (...) (23 years ago, 16-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Re: Slow response in RoboLab?

The problem does not come from container's container, but from the fact that ROBOLAB adds a 1-sec delay to each system sound call. Instead use play-tone here. There is only a 2/10 sec pause. We have worked over a similar problem in our Boy-scout and (...) (23 years ago, 14-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Slow response in RoboLab?

It seems that RCX programs created with RoboLab sometimes have slow response times, like there are extra delays ocurring between the program steps. I especially noticed this in a recent program using indirection via "Container's Container". It gets (...) (23 years ago, 12-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Robolab 2.5 on Mac OS X?

Anyone here have any luck running Robolab on Mac OS X? I haven't bothered to try it yet-- just purchased a new machine and i'm still rather new to OS X. Any experiences or other tips would be appreciated. Thanks for reading (23 years ago, 18-Mar-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

It also appears to have a 'one classroom' license as I recall. So who is the (...) (23 years ago, 8-Feb-03, to lugnet.edu, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.edu)

Hi all, we are working on our final thesis using lego mindstorms. Our goal is to implement a neural network using the backpropagation algorithm. This neural network will then be used with a webcam for pattern recognition and classification. The (...)   Re: Robolab 2.5.0 -> 2.5.1 ???

Mike, As recommended by others in this thread I contacted Lego Dacta and they sent me (free of charge) a CD-ROM with the 2.5.1 upgrade on it. This can only be applied to an installed copy of 2.5.0. I have not found the 2.5.1 upgrade anywhere on the (...) (24 years ago, 3-Oct-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.dacta)

  Robolab 2.5.0 -> 2.5.1 ???

I grow confused about all this. Can you tell me how to get 2.5.1 from a patch/update off the net? Alternatively, can you tell me who to contact in the UK (or for the UK) to get the update files please? Mike Reddy, Senior Lecturer -- Web: (URL) (...)   Some UI questions about Robolab

Hi All, I have a couple of quick questions. 1. The help in Robolab says I can select a program from the programs list and press F10 to delete it.   Re: FW: updating Robolab 2.5 - Some testing

I have Robolab 2.5.0 and I tried to install SP1. The install says that 2.5.1 is required. It then searches for 2.5.1 on your disk. In my case it said 2.5.1 found and updated the software. Robolab now no longer works! This seems to suggest that you (...) (24 years ago, 18-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.dacta)

  FW: updating Robolab 2.5 - Some testing - part 2

Hello All, A small update The "Fixes CLI vis in Pilot mode" dated 7-17-2002 to be applied to 2.5.2 is incorrect. It must be applied to Robolab 2.5.1. That is the error I received when I tried to apply to Robolab 2.5.2. Tufts hopefully will upgrade (...) (24 years ago, 17-Aug-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.dacta)
