  RE: fast firmware downloader

(...) Count me in. I'm ditching the Tcl interface - it's just too damn goofy! A standard firmware downloader would be great - especially if it ran on all platforms. As far As I know, Dave Baum is the only guy here who has got a downloader for the (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

  Re: fast firmware downloader

(...) If there's interest in a stand-alone firmware downloader running on the Mac, please let me know. I can certainly add the approriate quad-speed stuff into NQC, and can also make a stand-alone version if Mac users are using pbFORTH or something (...)   Re: fast firmware downloader

(...) I'll start by pulling the 4x code into the NQC source base. That should make it trivial to build a stand-alone command line based downloader for Win32 (95/nt/98), Linux, Solaris, and Mac 68k/ppc under MPW. We could also get Win3.1 and DOS (...)   Re: LNP - lets get coding.

(...) Regarding where to go from here, if you step up to do the coding, I believe where to go is up to you. I don't know if that is how it usually works, but I certainly wouldn't want to be coding up something I am not happy with, so I would expect (...)   LNP - lets get coding.

(...) Hi, Didn't mean to come across as arguing - sorry if I did! As you say, lets get coding LNP (My assumption is that the coding bit hasn't started yet, if it has, please accept my apologies & let me know how it is going!). I guess the things (...)   Re: LNP Repost

I am coming into the middle of this (or at the end considering the posting dates), and am hoping I don't sound like a fool putting out these ideas (since I don't yet know how legOS works). Is the RCX# used as a sort of ethernet MAC address? If you (...) (25 years ago, 28-Jul-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  emulegOs ported to Linux/Unix platforms

Mark Falco completed the first port of emulegOS to the Linux/Unix platforms. He did the gui with Tcl/Tk, a popular scripting tools available for many platforms including Win and Mac. This version will probably become the *standard* version of (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jun-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Web based LegOs compiler for the underprivileged?

I recently downloaded a program for the palm pilot that displays up to date movie times and locations based from perl parsed data from movies@yahoo.com It is a great program, but getting and setting up Perl on my system was a real pain. Luckily (...) (26 years ago, 8-Apr-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics)

Re: legOS docs - what do people want?

In this vein, what is the distribution of OS's people are using (or attempting to use) with legOS? Personally I am a linux user and feel comfortable explaining that. As for Windows 95/98/NT it might be better if someone who uses legOS on those (...) (26 years ago, 20-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
