Is it possible to switch LNP on and off, while a program is running?

I guess I should also ask if LNP does actually use processor time, when it's not
receiving messages.

Steve,

If no IR traffic (of any kind) is occurring, then there is very little overhead
associated with LNP being active.  In any event, this trivial amount of overhead
(in systime.c) can't be disabled.

What you really need to be concerned about is this:

Basicly, 2/3 of the CPU is being used to sample the sensors at 6.7KHz - whether
you need that kind of bandwidth or not!  I doubt LNP uses more then a few
percent when actively receiving a packet.

Mark

BTW, I'm currently working on a few changes to BrickOS to make it compatible
with my DCC decoding routines.  One of the changes is to get this A/D thing
under control.  I'll post here when I have these patches complete.
