Well... see... now you boxed me in.  ;-)  of course you are correct.
I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt to our author
or to the cygwin developers.  I really didn't think the version
number should be in the path, but it was there, so I was trying to
rationalize why.

So... I agree, let's remove the /1.1 or /1.3 from the examples.
