Using a multiplexor from http://www.techno-stuff.com/ you can hook four touch
sensors up to one port. The multiplexor http://www.techno-stuff.com/swmux.htm
allows you to determine if any of three sensors is pressed, when you hook up a
forth it masks the other three and but if you assume that only one side at a
time is being pressed then this is ok. Of course if since it only takes one
sensor port you could just hook the forth up to one of the other two ports.
If you buy this, I've written some code for LegOS to make the decoding easier,
I'd be happy to send you a copy.
I think the biggest difference for 2.0 is that it has a USB IR tower. This is
espically important to LegOS users. I have a friend who got the USB tower to
work with LegOS under windows, but I think people are having trouble with
Linux. The 2.0 RCX should work fine with Linux and LegOS, you'd just need a
serial tower, or USB hacking skills :)
