(...) My patch changes both, dll and the legOS kernel, to operate with odd parity. Did you both, reinstall the new kernel and use the new dll afterwards? Just following up my own message. I have just tried the instructions with kgcc in redhat 7. It fails with exactly the same problem. I have gone through the HowTo setup legOS. The only problem I have had is that none of the demo code projects can compile. They all fail with [demo]# make /usr/local/crossgcc/...hi-hms-gcc -O2 -fno-builtin -fomit-frame-pointer -Wall (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

(...) 0.2.5 includes the idle timeout code. After 15 minutes of no activity (program isn't running, no buttons pushed) it will turn itself off.
