| | Re: Data-transfering RCX -> PC in LeJOS

| I made a small communication package which might help you. | | Re: CPR for RCX?
|
| From my experience, what you are describing is normal behavior for the current version of pbForth. Mr. Hempel has done an excellent job of creating a version of Forth to work with the RCX, but the work is far from complete. If you look at the (...) | | Re: Pullback RCX Car
|
| Interesting idea. The idea of a pullback car is that you provide the energy, and store it in a spring. How about a "real" pullback car that works like this: The drive motor would be used as a generator during pullback, to charge a capacitor. You (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Re: Time a call to a function
|
| (...) The global sys_time contains the number of milliseconds since... well, since something. I think it's how long the RCX has been powered on since the last firmware download. It's probably updated every millisecond. It's a 32-bit number, so it (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: latest legOS strangeness
|
| I was torn between 'float' and 'brake' when implementing the remote control handler. I eventually opted for 'brake' since that is how the Lego RCX firmware does it. With regard to the strange motor behavior. I too noticed this while debugging the (...) (22 years ago, 16-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: Automatic RCX Battery Recharging

| I agree that there are much faster charging methods, but the slow one has the advantage of simplicity (this was implied in the original question)... I wonder too how to design a connector with contacts that reliably carry 4 to 10 A currents and (...) (22 years ago, 23-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Using the RCX for animating LEGO Train displays?
|
| Please pardon the interruption, as this is probably a bit off-topic, and is more a distraction than a contribution at this point. ;-) I've been looking in the various LUGNET forums, hoping to find a link to a good page of clues for using the RCX in (...) The third area is user (and system) data, allocated from the top down. They "meet in the (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Re: Add motor driver to RCX

In RCX float or braked modes the power H-bridge flywheel diodes will brake the motor, but in high power applications, how often is float (...) (20 years ago, 1-Aug-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
