The spirit.ocx will not work with the USB tower. All is not lost tho. I am working on a new open source control to replace the spirit.ocx, but it looks like it will be a couple of weeks before I make it available for testing. If you are interested (...)   LNPD and Cygwin
 
Hi all, I have the USB tower so by now (because I have a project for the university, and not too much time) I've to use cygwin. Hello John, Worked fine for me, with the following setup: RCX2.0, USB tower, BricxCC 3.3.7.6, firm0328.lgo, Win2000. Distance between tower and brick: 20 cm. Download time: 1'25" I tried also 50 cm away (worked) and 1 m away (failed). Philo (21 years ago, 3-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Folks, I've been fiddling around with how BricxCC and NQC talk to the RCX when using the USB tower. It's because of several users experiencing problems when trying to download programs from within BricxCC (using NQC behind the scenes). Depending on (...)   Downloading Firmware
 
I am trying to download the firmware to the ris 1.0 & 2.0 using the usb tower but it won't finish, the rcx only counts to 200-300 & is different all the time. then it says the tower is disconnected, when i didn't even touch it. Hi there. I'm running cygwin (because I just have the usb tower) well I want to use the addressing mode of lnp. Patch 10: This works for me under Cygwin with a USB tower, but some of the files such as rcx_comm.c have a bit of platform-specific code.
