| | 1.5/2.0 infrared problem
| Hi I've got two RCX: a 1.5 and 2.0 version. I' ve got a problem with IR emiter/reicever. The 1.5 version seems to be more sensitive to reflected infrared and its good to use ! But the 2.0 RCX is less sensitive and for example doesn't receive (...) (22 years ago, 15-Mar-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | RCX 2.0 Difference
| I have got both an RCX1.0 and RCX2.0 unit. The RCX2.0 has a much less sensitive IR port. I would use the remote control to send messages and start and stop programs and to trigger motors. With the RCX1.0 the remote could be pointed at the unit and (...) (23 years ago, 7-Aug-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| I just got my RIS last week and I've had a problem getting the IR unit to download RCX code to the RCX unit. I can download Firmware all I want and I downloaded RCX Command Center and tried downloading code from it and had no problems there either. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| Ive just started a little project of building an interface between a RCX and a Bluetooth. For power supply Im thinking of using one of the outputs on the RCX and for communication Ill use the IR port(2400-baud), similar to Mindsensors´s RCX to (...) | | Connecting two RCX's
| Hello, I have two RCX bricks and would like them to co-operate without using the IR-Port. Is it possible to communicate by attaching a motor port of the first RCX to a sensor port of the second? As far as I know the motors work on 9V and the sensors (...) (25 years ago, 3-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Normally, it would be enough that a bot sends a message as soon as it has hit the other. Another problem: why do you use random numbers in (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

The principle is simple: * Attach the light sensor in front of the brick, close to the IR tranceiver. preferably in a low position, since you want to (...) | Here's a thought: You're in the bedroom with your trusty RCX on the floor. You're watching TV, but the tuner is in another room. | | Re: Battery voltage available within NQC?

| (...) There's a bytecode (0x30) that instructs the RCX to send the battery voltage as a response over the IR. That's what NQC and Mindstorms use to read the battery voltage.
