I have just released a freeware utility program for Windows that emulates the MindStorms infrared remote control using a USB or RS-232 IR tower. The program supports all functions of the remote and does not require any other support software to be (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx) !

Has anyone ever tried to upgrade the memory in the RCX? ( External RAM that is ). What about upgrade the CPU to 60kbyte PROM version? No need to use expanded mode, then a ton of I/O would be available... Anyone thought about building a RCX (...) (...) Yes. (...) No, integers are integers whether written decimal or hexadecimal (or in binary or whatever other base[*]). What you can do depends on the software you use. The SendMessage command in the standard firmware can send values in the (...) (22 years ago, 5-May-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Hi, I want to know whether it is possible to transmit integers from the PC to the RCX. From all the readings I have done,if I understood what I read correctly, then it appears that only hexadecimal values can be transmitted from the PC to the RCX or (...) My Mindstorms software does not run anymore! Before Microsoft came out with patch 3 the software ran fine. Now with the upgraded system it does not run. The Error is: "You do not have enough memory" Anybody have the same problem or know a work (...) (22 years ago, 30-Apr-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

What about making a program for my "pull-back" car? Look at (URL) instruction how to build it and more info. I just dont have made any programs for it yet. It's maybe a TOO easy task? I somehow lost my local copy of a code that included some music. I don't want to rewite it, but can if I have to. Is there anyway to retrieve a code out of the RCX? Its program 1.
