Re: Listening to IR via NQC

(...) Yes, that is what I'm looking for. Unless anyone else knows of anything, I guess it's time to dive into the coding. :) (...) Yeah, that would work great. Does anyone have code that does this? (Don't want to reinvent the wheel...) I know of (...) (27 years ago, 24-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

Re: Listening to IR via NQC

(...) If I understand you correctly, then this is more difficult than it sounds, because the IR tower shuts down after a few seconds after the PC stops transmitting. Things work fine if the PC initiates a conversation (e.g. by asking the RCX to send (...) (27 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  Listening to IR via NQC

I know that NQC can send IR messages; can it -- or any other command-line program -- listen to the IR port and dump any incoming messages to a file (or stdout)? (27 years ago, 23-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  I have two brains!

Or at least two RCXs. (Thanks Jeff.) Now, with the aid of my friend Paul and his mindstorms set, it's time to go about implementing Pong. (27 years ago, 22-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

How to get ROM image on Win95/98?

Hi, Has anyone tried to obtain a ROM image on a Win95/98 box? Also where can I find a dissambler for the ROM image? Thanks Andy (27 years ago, 21-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Decoding the LEGO IR remote control

This LEGO IR remote control (#9738) is making me crazy!!!! Dave and Kekoa have posted in depth explanations of the remote's coding, but I must be awfully dense and am missing something somewhere. I've tried two approaches: First, I used both a (...) (27 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Decoding the LEGO IR remote control

(...) The Lego IR protocol is pretty simple. If you have demodulated output, why not dump some samples here so we can see if they make sense? The encoding is straight serial, but inverted - a pulse of light indicates a zero or a low voltage on a (...) (27 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Decoding the LEGO IR remote control

Hi All - - A couple of weeks ago I received my LEGO MindStorms #9738 remote control. It's really cool to be able to select, start, and stop programs ... override the motor controls ... send messages, etc. If fact, it's SO COOL that I want to be able (...)   Performance problem with Java API

Hi! I am currently working on a Java API for the RCX to implement the features of the PBrick (SPIRIT.OCX) interface in Java. So far, using the Java Comm API 2.0 and Kekoa Proudfoot's description, it does everything right except for one thing: (...) (27 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Decoding the LEGO IR remote control

(...) Ah, so the infamous d2 opcode is finally fully explained. What the d2 opcode did was discovered a while back when the firmware was disassembled, but people could only guess as to why Lego put such an opcode into the RCX. It was never connected (...)
