  Re: brickOS port to FreeBSD

(...) Hi John, I would be interested in the patches to firmdl and dll. If you could please post them somewhere or email them to me. Thanks, Jarod (20 years ago, 25-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Latest Version of ROBOLAB

(...) Thanks Elizabeth. Another possibility: In 2.5.4B, could it be 'B' for beta? Jerry (20 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  RE: Latest Version of ROBOLAB

Jerry, I purchased the "B" from the lego site, www.legoeducation.com . I was asking for the difference between the 2.5.4 & 2.5.4B as well, but have not received response yet. Anyone? -- E (...) (20 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Latest Version of ROBOLAB

Elizabeth Mabrey, in her last post, referenced ROBOLAB 2.5.4B. I have just procured a copy from my Spectrum (distributor in Canada) but it is 2.5.4 (without the 'B'). Do I not have an up-to-date copy? ...or, is there a download for 'B' somewhere? (...) (20 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  RCX IR Transceiver Circuit

(...) I managed to get this one drawn today: (URL) N.B. I cannot guarantee accuracy as this is my own interpretation of the circuit of my own IR Transceiver, using data from reference books and tracing the circuit myself, so I might have made (...)   follow up: possible bug in the investigator of Robolab2.5.4B

I thought I should do a follow-up regarding a posting I sent out earlier regarding problem in investigator /Robolab2.5.4B. A gentleman, Bernard Catt ,verified a bug for me: If you use the Blue or Yellow data sets, the following will happen: (...) (...) (20 years ago, 23-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Re: brickOS port to FreeBSD

(...) Thanks, I'm up and running using binutils-2.15, gcc-3.4-20041217 and your gcc-3.3 patch to the cvs version of brickOS. I also have the USB Tower working. Would the brickOS guys be interested in FreeBSD patches to firmdl and dll? John (20 years ago, 23-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

RE: Problem with the new robolab2.5.4

Sorry, I think I need to clarify further... - This is in the "Investigator" section, NOT the regular program area. - after I click on the big "upload" arrow, I changed the dataset name to, e.g., "ds1", but there is no graph. - I click on the "upload (...)   Problem with the new robolab2.5.4

I wonder if there is anyone has a chance playing with the investigator with the 2.5.4/B. It seems to be a bug: Symptom: 1) after doing the programming in level 4, do to the upload data window by clicking the "upload area" icon 2) click the big white (...)   Re: Wire communication

A few questions and another answer: I don’t have my nqc ref to hand, but does the one external output on the cybermaster support float? I also have the suspicion that a more efficient (fewer ports tied up) solution might be achieved by wiring two (...) (20 years ago, 14-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: brickOS port to FreeBSD

(...) I think the latest official gcc-binaries for brickOS are still 2.95.x. However, I have binutils-2.15 and gcc-3.4.0 running under linux and had only minor problems. Make sure you compile gcc without the stdc++ libraries or just ignore the (...) (20 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Wire communication

(...) I think all you really need to do is switch the motor port between "float" and "brake". That's the same as opening and closing a touch sensor. I've used that for simple signals, and it seems to work fine, but I haven't tried more complex (...) (20 years ago, 9-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Wire communication

Hello, I am currently trying to implement a communication protocol between two bricks using just one of the copper wire given with the brick.   brickOS port to FreeBSD

Hi, I'm looking at porting brickOS to FreeBSD. I guess the first step is to get the crosscompiler etc. going. Which version of gcc and binutils is the best to use? I searched a bit but it isn't very clear which version to use, except that lots of (...) (20 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  What does RCX stand for?

RCX'rs, I know it is a silly question and one that has probably been asked before, but what does RCX stand for? If I could find the answer, I wouldn't have to ask. Does it stand for Robotics Command System or Robotics Command Extrodinare? What? Todd (20 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
