We just started studying the inverted pendulum problem in order to solve it with the RCX and lejos or legos or PBForth. We are not decided yet. At first sight this seems a rather serious problem. Hello everyone, I recently bought the Robotics Invention Kit 2.0 with the USB IrTower. I own a Mac Powerbook G4 and run Virtual PC 4.02 with the latest additions on my Mac OS 9.1 system. 1. I am only using Robolab 2.5 to drive Control Lab. Prior to 2.5 I was using Robolab 2.0 with the free Lego Engineer software to drive the interface. The 2.5 release removes the need for Lego Engineer. In fact I am now getting errors with Lego (...) (23 years ago, 14-Oct-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.dacta)

Hi all, It seems I missed this thread... (...) As suggested by Rainer, if you use an external battery everything is much simpler, you could even use a 4.5V battery to avoid regulator. (...) (...) Instead of using resistors, you can use RAW mode which measures how far in the sensor was pushed. Then use a bit of tape to prevent one of the sensors from being pushed in all the way.
