(...) Great. Thanks. This is a real lifesaver since I am deleting and reloading firmware at a rapid rate and my RCX is inside a construction which makes it awkward to get at the batteries. (...) Yes. Therefore you might want to use the truncation selection, which allows you to have only 1 copy of the population at a time to save memory. I'm trying to define a constant in a compiled word. : zzz 1 CONSTANT ONE ; I know its not right. It tries to compile "ONE" which is not what is wanted. What is the right way to say this? (24 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

(...) Yes. The IR just becomes a dumb serial port whith an annoying builtin echo, almost like you had a serial port cable attached to the RCX.
