In what is the most pro-active customer support I have ever experienced, Paul Ellams contacted me and suggested I might beta a newer revision of his Robotics Mover software for the Palm platform. He was suprised that my range using a Handspring was (...) (25 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.palm)

I'm Not sure why the Color Handspring Visor should have such a small IR Range with the software. With the software running on my Palm M100 it has a range of approx 2 meters. With the software running on a Palm IIIc it has a range of at least 6 (...) (25 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics.palm)

Well, you should just 'cause their pretty nifty, but not just for this software. I tried it out, and it does control the motors on the RCX and Scout, but the range (using a color Handspring Visor) is severely limited, only about an inch or so in (...) Just thought people might like to know I have developed a piece of Palm Software called Robotic Mover which allows you to remotely control your RCX. Unlike the other available software, This does actually use the built in infrared port of the Palm (...) (25 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics.palm)

(...) Oops! I must have mistook the 'wireless' word and imagined the IR part... It connects to the BUS port on the bottom. Rather interesting really. Seems it's a 1.3~ mhz serial bus.
