Well, you should just 'cause their pretty nifty, but not just for this
software.  I tried it out, and it does control the motors on the RCX and
Scout, but the range (using a color Handspring Visor) is severely limited,
only about an inch or so in average office lighting.  I'm interested to see
what comes out of the newer Pacific Neo-Tek development, particularly the
powered IR Springboard module.

I'm Not sure why the Color Handspring Visor should have such a small IR Range with the software. With the software running on my Palm M100 it has a range of approx 2 meters. With the software running on a Palm IIIc it has a range of at least 6 (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.robotics.palm)
