Hi, all. I just got an RIS for Christmas, and I've been happily alternating between hacking on it and lurking here and at the various Lego sites on the web. Yippee, legos! Ahem. I've been interested in the possibilities of using my Palm IIIe as a (...) (26 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.robotics.palm)

Has anyone seriously looked into setting up the Palm's IR for communicating with the RCX? I was thinking of working on this and I wanted to make sure that I won't be duplicating anyone's efforts. I was thinking it would be really cool if the Palm (...) (26 years ago, 29-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.palm)

FWIW ... I just downloaded, installed, and tested LRemote 1.1 and BrickRemote 0.6. Everything works great - good job Mike and anyone else that helped! My config is a Palm IIIx in a HotSync cradle, connected to the LEGO RIS IR transmitter (with the (...) (26 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.palm)

(...) I see. So OmniRemote isn't generic enough to handle all codes from any IR device? I guess that would create a lot of overhead that the developer of OmniRemote doesn't need to get involved with, if they just want to remain in the context of (...)
