I once saw something like this, but it was very complicated to build. There were TWO separate arrangements of your wheel descriptions, and they were hinged from a set of "hips". Does anyone know why these eight speeds were chosen in lib_hb.c for the motors and what would happen if the code were re-written to allow any speed between 0 and 255? int _speed_table[]= { 0b00000000, /* speed 0 */ 0b00010001, 0b01001001, (...) Think of them as repeating binary waveforms (they are clocked out the 'enable' pin of the motor chip at 1Khz) so on an oscilloscope speed 2 (third entry) would appear.. time -> 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 (in mS) Vmotor : +--+ +--+ (...) If I'm not mistaken, (someone please corect) those speeds represent the actual shape of the waveform. Let's list some details. 1. Each bit 0 or 1 represents 0V or 9.6V.
