(...) Actually the SP0256 and the companion Text to Speech chip supported a 'serial' mode that was much easier to use (you could use the same software uart I just posted.) My lab partner and I are going to make our robot talk using a voice recorder/player chip from www.isd.com. They are easy to use. Don't know if this fits your purpose. jm (...) (27 years ago, 5-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
