  Here's the Rover with handyboard
 
Attatched is a picture od the toy Mars Rover that I am modifying. Right now I have the handyboard driving two lego motors and I ripped apart a mouse to use the encoder. Mice encoders sure work great! Hi, I got all the bugs out of my handyboard! First I had to bend several leafs on my 68HC11 (Thanks Fred!), Socket was ok, the processor was not. Hi, I am assisting a Robotics course with the venerable HandyBoard, and have been having the same problem with the Toshiba, and ThinkPad laptops. With Toshiba though, there is no infrared as far as I can tell, and I can run and load the inital pcode (...) (24 years ago, 1-Sep-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi. I´m using the servo_a7.icb file to drive a servo on my handyboard, but the servo is not moving. it seems that the frequentcy is not the right one (40hz).   Temporary solution for W2000, but not Notebook
 
This is essentially a status report telling what I've come up with as a partial solution to to running the Handy Board in our new environment. I have not succeeded in getting IC to run under Windows2000 DOS. The labs now have machines with 120 MB (...) (24 years ago, 31-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
 
  IR demodulator
 
I have mounted the IS1U60 infrared demodulator on to the HB but I have realised that it can only recieve from a particular direction. Is it possible to mount another IS1U60 by connecting the leads to the same locations on the pcb via wires and then (...) (24 years ago, 29-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi, I built up a handyboard and most of it works great! testmotor passes, testdigitals passes, even the infrared remote detects and trnasmitts fine! I just have one analog port, port 3 that does not work unless I apply a little pressure to the cpu! (...) (24 years ago, 29-Aug-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) The Expansion Board has inputs specifically for Lego sensors. In particular, I've used the rotation sensor and it works fine.
