Just wondering... in reference to the modification on the Polaroid 6500 sonar ranging board, there's been two different assertions. Should the 0.1uF cap be of a polarized (e.g. electrolytic, tant, etc.) or non-polarized variety (as stated below)?... (...) (27 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi, I would like to use step motors in my robot and have had success using the MC3479 stepper motor IC, it is simple to use, just needs a direction bit and a pulse, but I really don't know how to program my hb to do this. Hi I'm using the L297/L298 chip configuration to run 4-phase unipolar stepper motors. Currently I'm driving them in half-step mode but I'm not getting enough torque.. :( Has anyone successfully gotten the L297 chip into wave drive mode? I believe I (...) I got my assembled & tested expansion board via air mail from Patrick Hui of the Robot Store, HK ((URL) fairly quickly, and at an excellent price.
