It isn't hanging, it's a blocking read until it recieves some specified number of characters. You can use a non blocking read by specifying O_NONBLOCK, in which case read() will return immediately. This is not really a HB question, but I am hoping someone here has experience in it anyway. My question is in how do you read the Serial port under Linux. Just started to learn how to use my new HB. In going through the IC manual I could not find any routines for writing to the serial port. There is a whole community of Radio Control submariners who have extensive experience that you could make use of. (...) Yes. You missed the "with a hole at the bottom connected to the water" which means that water comes in as you move the air to the reservoir.
