  mic circuit in Mobile Robotics

The microphone circuit on page 118 of Mobile Robots is confusing me... Is that really a _1000uF_ cap? What kind of cap is the 10uF? No polarity is shown.... (26 years ago, 23-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

can't download to save my life

Please help!! I can't get the pcode_hb.s19 file into the handyboard to save my life. Upon looking through the archives, I've noticed some traffic that looks like it directly relates to my problem. However, I couldn't find a definitive solution. So (...) (26 years ago, 23-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Cheap air flow sensor

Electronic Design "Ideas for Design" section had a interesting circuit for a Low-Power Thermal Airspeed Sensor in the May 25, 1998 issue. It's more complicated than the Elektor design but the ariticle helps explain thermal anemometry with the King's (...) (26 years ago, 22-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) (circuit and description deleted) Neat idea! It reminds me of a simple variometer (rate of climb/sink) circuit in an old RC glider magazine. It used two small naked bead or glass encapsulated thermistors in a bridge circuit and the thermistors (...) (26 years ago, 22-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Cheap air flow sensor

Finally I managed to put the schematic of Wind-O-meter described in the Elektor publication in ASCII. Pl. set your reader font to something like courier to view it properly. I have taken some liberty with the opamp symbol to accomodate some (...) (26 years ago, 22-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Tracked Robots

I just noticed the conversation about tracked robots. We have done some work with them here at the U of M. We have one of the Tamiya tanks. It is very nice, but only has one motor. If you want to do skid steering with both tracks at once, it will (...) (26 years ago, 20-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
