  Re: Cheap air flow sensor

Finally I managed to put the schematic of Wind-O-meter described in the Elektor publication in ASCII. Pl. set your reader font to something like courier to view it properly. I have taken some liberty with the opamp symbol to accomodate some (...) (26 years ago, 22-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Tracked Robots

I just noticed the conversation about tracked robots. We have done some work with them here at the U of M. We have one of the Tamiya tanks. It is very nice, but only has one motor. If you want to do skid steering with both tracks at once, it will (...) (26 years ago, 20-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: RE - Mike Davis: Tracked Robots

Most Hobby shops can order replacment parts for these kits. (eg. the treads and gears). The usually have catalogs that break out the different parts kits. (...) (26 years ago, 20-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  additional motor drivers

Is there an easy way to get additional motor drivers? I looked at the H-bridge information in the FAQ and it looks quite involved. Chad Humberstone EUCLID Mobile Robot Lab BYU (26 years ago, 19-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

servo w/ 360 rotation? Hi torque?

Are there any servos available with 360 or near 360 rotation? I'd like one with more than 42 oz-in of torque, too. Something closer to 150 oz-in would be nice. Thanks, Chad Humberstone EUCLID Mobile Robot Lab BYU (26 years ago, 19-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

RE - Mike Davis: Tracked Robots

Other than using Lego or fischertechnik tracks (about equal in durability) the only option I could come up with is (are) the radio control tanks made by Tamiya. You can find these at: (URL) Browse under Tamiya, Armor/AFV, 1/16 scale. The 3 older (...) (26 years ago, 19-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE:Tracked Robots

The Tonka toy dozer has some pretty tough tracks on it, but you would have to make the wheels. The ones on the toy are made of plastic too thin to attach a drive mechanism to. There may be a better solution, however. There are two options I think (...) (26 years ago, 19-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  IC with Botboard 2

Does anyone have experience modifying IC for use with the BotBoard 2? (i.e., changing address for the beeper, etc.) I have been able to get IC to download and run, but I would like to customize it to fit the hardward on the BB2. On a related note, (...)   Servo Question - Cirrus

I have a Cirrus Cs-20 BB Sub-Micro Servo that I have been using for testing. I was wondering how this servo compares to others like Futuba and others. Since I know how this one behaves, I can use that info as a comparrison. What Futuba mode is (...) (26 years ago, 18-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: System interupt problems?

you are correct, you are just attaching yourself to the beginning of the interrupt service routine, and the job of formatting system flags is taken care of by the ISR. however, i do see something that may be causing numerical errors. in the code, (...)   Freewawre IC Error

I just got my hands on a beautiful old monster of an AT PC (Cost=$0). I figured, why not transfer IC over to that computer, and use it in my workshop instead of programming the 'board on our main computer and then bringing it down to the basement. (...)   RE: System interupt problems?

(...) I'm pretty sure that since the Handy Board also uses TOC4 as its system interrupt, that it takes care of clearing the interrupt. My code just gets linked in and gets executed before the Handy Board code (though I don't know what the HB code (...) (26 years ago, 18-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Mike, I have actually seen only 3 reasonable quality walkers on the market (the 6 legged kind) but I have to admit that I haven't searched that far recently.   RE: System interupt problems?

Tim, I just scanned your code, so I might have missed it, but don't you have to clear (or set) a flag in your interrupt routine to reenable the TOC4 interrupt? Mike ---...--- From: Timothy B.   Re: Handy Board Header

I once ordered male ED7xxx series and they work ok. I do like them. I never tried the female ones.   Re: Hot Wire Anemometers

For people interested in getting the most hp out of them, we'd want to be able to lean the engine out a bit (along with reducing the intake restriction). But this is (...)
