| Hi All, I have just ordered a Handyboard and while i'm lerning IC i was wondering if the programs from the book Mobile Robots will work with the handyboard, my robot is configured similar to Rugwarrior,i.e. three bump an two IR proximity (...) | (...) Each diode loses 0.6v. The string of them drops the HB battery down from 9.6v to 6.0v, which is the specified operating voltage of the sonar unit. You can probably substitute 1N4001s. Fred (27 years ago, 6-Feb-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| Hi all I have written some routines to measure frequencies from 30Hz to 30kHz. I'm posting this with an attachement because several people have ask me already for these routines. | Has anyone used the diagrams off the HB wesite for connecting the 6500 sonar. If so, could someone please tell an ignorant CS major, what the six diodes are for, and if anything else can be substituted for them. My local Radio Crack seems to be out (...) | Fred; I am at the testanalogs portion of the assembly process. All has gone well up until this point. The knob varies between 0 and 255 as expected and the seven numbers all come up either 254 or 255 when I press the START button. However I am (...)
