Has anyone used the diagrams off the HB wesite for connecting the 6500
sonar. If so, could someone please tell an ignorant CS major, what the six
diodes are for, and if anything else can be substituted for them.
My local Radio Crack seems to be out of thoose.
Thanks mucho,
Mike

| (...) Each diode loses 0.6v. The string of them drops the HB battery down from 9.6v to 6.0v, which is the specified operating voltage of the sonar unit. You can probably substitute 1N4001s. Fred (27 years ago, 6-Feb-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
