  Re: free memory

(...) Hi, I've just been working on the p-code interpreter. I've been working with the Version 2.861, not the HandyBoard version. But I did a "diff" and there doesn't seem to be much difference. At any rate, here's the map I made for Version 2.861: (...) (27 years ago, 26-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: free memory

I don't remember exactly, but the memory map for IC is something like: pcode itself: 8K used user compiled code + global program data: 16K available user process stacks and runtime locals: 8K available ---...--- 32K total memory this is ball park. Hello, Does anyone know how I can get a sprintf function with IC ? Since there is a printf function, the code must be somewhere in the system. (Unfortunately, the printf outputs only to the LCD !). Thanks ! Laurent VARTANIAN. (27 years ago, 25-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: more help, please!

It all depends on how much you want to spend and how you want to drive them. 1) The piggy back method works, but is difficult to manage mechanically and the chips weren't designed for it. (Generally it works ok however) 2) Using a separate H-bridge (...) (27 years ago, 24-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: DIP switches

you can use dip switches in the standard digital in ports if you either (a) solder them to male header first, or (b) insert them in a wire-wrap socket and then insert the wire-wrap socket pins into the HB sensor ports. both of these methods get (...)   Re: Books on bots

A really good reference on the Motorola MC68HC11 family and microcontrollers in general is "Design with Microcontrollers" by John Peatman (ISBN 0-07-049238-7). It provides an excellent overview of the HC11 and covers the hardware and software (...) (27 years ago, 23-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
