It looks like your resistors are burned due to the short circuit between pin3 and pin4 of J10 on the charger board. I guess what you need is to replace those resistors (R11 and R12) and yellow LED, and the charger board will work again. Those (...) (27 years ago, 12-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hello all, I was charging my HB the other day, and suddenly, the two resistors right by the yellow "charge" LED on the serial interface ckt. went up in smoke. Has this happened to anyone else? Colby (27 years ago, 12-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Well, i'm sorry for the interference . You are building robots, and right now (only right now) i.m working with handys but in other way. What is your application of the robot? My experience has shown that different wheel configurations lend themselves naturally to different applications: In general, think about how you want your robot to move and turn, and what sort of terrain it (...) Gregg, I bought the assembled board. However, the supplier also sells unassembled kits. Check (URL) for the descriptions.
