| I have a very basic doubt regarding the working of the QRD114 sensor. If we connect the sensor as per the illustration in the handy board document, how do we make the emitter transmit IR waves? what will be the frequency of the IR beams (40kHz)? (...) | Howdy, Well I finally got my bot to going and was hooking up the bump sensors. I had one plugged in and was seeing how it functioned when all of the sudden there was dead silence. | The memory circuit is probably flaky, or, you zapped a 6811 address line output. If you haven't already tried, swap the 6811 with a known good one. If that doesn't work, examine the ram chip addr, data bus, and select signals with a logic probe when (...) (28 years ago, 5-Feb-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
