Can anyone tell me if it's possible to run more than one servo off the Handy Board? My design group and I are building a robot that will perform an autonomous search routine. We're in the rough developement stage and really trying to pin down just (...) (28 years ago, 7-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

keith-- you might have fried the motor ground to logic ground connection. a couple of times in my lab using 6.270 boards people shorted motor high to logic ground, with the result being a vaporized trace between the two grounds (the inductor was not (...) Yes it is probably the inductor. It acts as a fuse in many situations. You are lucky -- it could have been much worse. -Fred In your message you said: (...) (28 years ago, 7-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hello, I have a clock signal of 5 kHz and an analog signal. (There are in total 128 clock pulses) I need to read in the analog signal every time the clock signal is high. So I need to read the clock signal with at least 10 kHz. I tried this with IC, (...) (28 years ago, 7-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I need help figuring out what I did to my handyboard. I had it all assembled, tested, and working when one of the battery leads touched one of the solder spots on the board. A small puff of smoke rose from the board but I was able to disconnect the (...) (28 years ago, 7-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Renewals are pretty cool -- they are "true" alkaline in the sense that they have the same voltage, discharge curve, and shelf life. The only bugaboo with them -- and it's a big one -- is that each *cell* must be individually charged. so you can't (...) (28 years ago, 5-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any info on the Rayovac Renewal batteries. According to the packaging, they're rechargable alkaline batteries. Sinch alkaline lasts longer that NiCd batteries, I was wondering if it would be good to use these (...) (28 years ago, 5-Jan-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
