(...) You need that resistor to stabilize the crystal frequency. Try Radio Shack if it is missing from the kit. Hi I've just received my Polaroid sonar stuff, but there's no documentation ! (of course Polaroid appear to have closed for Xmas.....) I spilled coffee on my handyboard this morning - it was powered off at the time. There was liquid across several pins on the 6811, though. I removed the 6811 and cleaned it up, then reinserted it.
