  Replacing Motor Driver 754410's

Hello! I'm looking for feedback on my proposed modification of the HB. I need to drive a 2amp motor with 24 volts. I don't really trust the 754410's to handle that much power (not to mention the handyboard traces). What I'd like to do is replace (...) (28 years ago, 13-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

(...) Scott The 18200's are a pretty staight forward upgrade. I'm currently using two of them to run a couple power widow motors from a 12V gel cell. They work great. They get hot pretty quick, so a heat sink is a definite must. Scan through the (...) (28 years ago, 13-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RE: laser diodes II

Any laser diode will work for sensing objects. The trick is that they are _so_ bright that you can't just look for the reflection (unless your are sensing objects at a few hundred feet) There was a Circuit Cellar contest entry which used a laser (...)   laser diodes II

Hi, I am still looking for information on what type of laser diode would work for sensing objects. Any info or opinion would be helpfull. Has anyone tried using laser diodes for detecting objects? I would be interested in finding out how they were (...) (28 years ago, 12-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

A Rotating (Sweeping?) Polaroid "Dish"? Can it work?

Rather than fix one of our Polaroids, we want to put one on a rotating platform in front of the vehicle so instead of turning the vehicle to search for targets, we can stop, sweep the sonar back and forth, find a target, and turn towards it.   Questions on Search Patterns with Polaroid & IR

With Handyboard, and the book "Mobile Robots", we want to use two Polaroids (50-60 KHz) for long range detection/target acquisition and short range IR (40 KHz) for a. Close in target pickup b.   Motor output circuit in HB.

I was taking a look at the schematics for the HB motor output circuit in order to see how could I fit it to work with the h-bridge in the RC Fast Traxx I have. Thanks to people in this mailing list, I know that in I have 4 signals in the Fast Traxx (...) (28 years ago, 12-Dec-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
