Just bought a CyberMaster from DYA-Shopping and had shipped to Australia. The
site is functional and their phone number answered when I called to check. The
kit is French, but English CD's can be obtained. Delivery time was 12 days.
They used to have 30 CyberMasters, now they have 29... :-)
I had previously bought a Canadian model but it's motors were faulty - lots of
noise and no torque. Dunno if I will be able to get them fixed (any ideas?)
My combination CyberMaster/RCX robot is now 90% complete, and the mapping and
exploration behaviour software is being upgraded from my old RCX-only setup.
Why do I need both? Tachos on the Cybermaster, + 7 touch sensors (two passive
muxes), rangefinders and compass on the RCX (active muxes).
I must admit I love the CyberMaster, but if anyone has circuits that provide
external power to connect powered sensors then that would make it more useful.
