(...) Calculation time is very short -regarded the H8 limits- On the video and the program diagram you can conclude that the robot turns about every 2 seconds. Deduce the 0.8 sec pause and you have something around 1.2 seconds for a (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: NXT and bluetooth enabled phones

We have yet more video of Mindstorms NXT: (URL) video has Alpha Rex dancing and dancing faster as the decibels go up. You will also see the Lego presentation playing in the background, especially when the camera points up at the robot for better (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

If you want to see Nic_1, a sound following robot, go to (URL) runs a program on the RCX that first samples two RCX sensor input ports at 36000 Hz (there is no mistake here !) to receive 300 samples from both microphone channels. Then the program (...) (20 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Why [no single language] is good for Mindstorms

(...) ...snip... (...) Steve, I totally agree with you. A few remarks: 1. There doesn't exist any non-buggy programming language. 2. There doesn't exist any best language. The reason that different languages exist is that there are different people (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: This sounds a lot like NXT

(...) There's quite an important difference in that the Xport uses a user-programmable FPGA for its more important processing. That means you're free to write highly parallel behaviours essentially in hardware, not limited to the CPU. These chips (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: mindstorms NXT and memory

(...) It depends where your ambitions lie. If you want to analyse audio or video or map your environment somehow - then 64Kb is pathetically small. If all you want is something that's just a small step ahead of an RCX then it's plenty. Of course you (...) (20 years ago, 8-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Why Java for Robots (was NXT and bluetooth enabled phones)
