Re: Using .lsc files with RIS 1.5?

John, (...) I tried to email this but AOL appears to be blocking me. Thanks for your offer of help. I've got the 2.5 SDK installed, and I'll download BricxCC as soon as Sourceforge comes back up. The .lsc file is for a robot I've built from the (...) (21 years ago, 2-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: disable LNP

(...) Steve, If no IR traffic (of any kind) is occurring, then there is very little overhead associated with LNP being active. In any event, this trivial amount of overhead (in systime.c) can't be disabled. What you really need to be concerned about (...) (21 years ago, 10-Oct-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Seattle Road Show (whoops- a week late...)

The Road Show came to Seattle on the last weekend of September, running from the 26th to the 28th. PNLTC, SeaLUG, and SMART all shared the small space with a 3-layer layout in 4 sections. You can check out a sampling of the pictures on the SeaLUG (...)   Re: Events in Robolab

Thanks for the response. I've been to that web site before and looked through it for event-driven programming. There is very little event-driven programming there, and what there is doesn't use events very extensively or in a very complex way. (...) (21 years ago, 28-Dec-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Events in Robolab

After dozens of hours of experimentation, it is my conclusion that event-driven programming in Robolab is unreliable. Eventually, the RCX stops responding to events.   Maximum Subroutine numbers?

I don't use Robolab, but I can offer some insight into how the RCX firwmare operates with subroutines (and events) that may partially explain your problems.
