| | BricksWest robot event
|
| I'm organizing a Mindstorms robot competition for BricksWest and it would make it easier, planning wise, to have a rough idea of how many people might be attending. If you think you might go, or better yet, know you will be, could you please let me (...) (23 years ago, 14-Jan-02, to lugnet.robotics)

| | Re: true realtime event?
|
| I can't answer your actual question, but have a close look at the way your tagline comes across. It looks (unintentionally, I'm sure) like you are closely affiliated with the LEGO company. I googled for your name and found a link to a post where you (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| (...) It does allow some very interesting abilities too. I used it for a line-follower, where three tasks could dynamicly alter their priority depending on what was going on. Another use would be a multi-goal system. For instance, one task could be (...) (19 years ago, 19-May-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab, lugnet.robotics.rcx)

| | Re: Polling sensor values with wait_event

| Thomas, I had a thought about this situation. You could write a function that sets a flag when the event is triggered, do nothing otherwise. You could call this function from within each of the tasks you write (at a somewhat high frequency ... say (...) (22 years ago, 28-Nov-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| Dave, So far, I've lived without ##, and I'm quite sure I can live without 4) and 5). And can't 3) be replaced in many cases by arithmetic? | (...) I'm sorry its been taking so long. I was right in the middle of an overhaul to the NQC code generation classes when RCX 2.0 firmware was posted. This meant I had to finish the re-design before moving onto the simpler matter of an RCX 2.0 API. (...) (24 years ago, 4-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)
