Hi,
I'm trying to download pbForth onto my RCX.
I'm using NQC on NT and have downloaded the latest pbForth: 1.1.1
I'm invoking NQC with: "nqc -firmware pbforth.srec"
I get the dots crawling across the command-prompt window. When they
almost reach the right hand side, the transfer always stops with:
"No reply from RCX"
Does anyone have a clue what the problem might be ?
(The H/W is in a darkened place, IR set to FAR etc...)

| I don't think it is supposed to. I think it is searching for the Mindstorms signal, which the pbForth firmware does not send. I had that happen to me, and I got it to work fine(eventually)... Andy (...) (25 years ago, 30-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

| I had the same problem with Win NT and and NCQ. I've resolved it using the NQC v 2_1_b1 with -firmfast option. | (...) It's working just fine. If the LCD says "4th", then the firmware is in place, now all you need is a terminal set to 2400,n,8,1 By the way, this kind of question should be on the lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth heirarchy...
