Does anyone know what the max. output the RCX can produce. I want to use an RCX to control my LEGO train track and do collision avoidance near a track intersection. The lego track track requires a 9V source. I know that its possible for the RCX to (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I just bought my first LEGO train earlier this week, and actually tried this experiment. You can run a train directly off of an RCX motor output. Just connect the track's power connector to an RCX motor output instead of to the train speed (...) (25 years ago, 12-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) As mentioned by Chris Osborn - use the trains's power pack to power the RCX (assuming your RCX is a 1.0 as I've read here the 1.5 does not have a power in port) We have used it successfully. The other way we have done it is by powering the (...) (25 years ago, 15-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)
